Nutrition Tips:

  • Reduce portion sizes
  • Do not skip meals, it increases snacking
  • Only allow non-caloric drinks [i.e. water or diet soda]
  • Pack a lunch for school
  • Reduce eating out
  • Remove unhealthy snacks from the house
  • Plan family meals [at the dining table with limited distractions 20-30 minutes]
  • Avoid juices and "low fat" foods [both contain high sugar calories]
